In case you haven't been following, U.S. Olympic skater Adam Rippon has been tearing it up in South Korea, helping the U.S. win a bronze earlier this week. But equally as noteworthy is the gold he's been delivering on Twitter. As one of the first openly gay athletes at the winter games, he's been outspoken and hilarious, proving himself as a true role model on and off the ice.
Check out some of his tweets below or check him out on twitter here or just like, turn on your TV and watch him do his thing there.
I was recently asked in an interview what its like to be a gay athlete in sports. I said that it's exactly like being a straight athlete. Lots of hard work but usually done with better eye brows.-- Adam Rippon (@Adaripp) December 28, 2017
With everything going on in the media about me this Valentine's Day I don't want people to get distracted and forget how beautiful I am (on the outside)-- Adam Rippon (@Adaripp) February 14, 2018
FUN FACT: Being true to who you are and not giving a shit about what others think about you is an awesome and liberating thing whether you are gay or not - Sometimes we the gays need to be reminded more often but, LIKE, EVERYONE SHOULD TRY IT, FOR REAL. JUST DO IT.-- Adam Rippon (@Adaripp) February 14, 2018
I've been bleaching my teeth for the past few days and now the wind that I create from just talking makes them hurt. Like, I think this is a sign that I'm officially ready for my Olympic debut.-- Adam Rippon (@Adaripp) February 11, 2018
Today my coach told me he was proud of me and then followed it up with "I mean, you remember how bad you were? Don't you?!" - Yin and yang.-- Adam Rippon (@Adaripp) January 27, 2018

I described myself as "a little trashy and a little fun" to the Associated Press. I bet my mom is proud. https://t.co/v1ws5aldOC-- Adam Rippon (@Adaripp) January 24, 2018
Also, we (mostly me) like to talk about my eyebrows now but we DONT want to talk about WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN. This is so important. In 2008 I thought this was acceptable but I am a better person now. A true comeback story. Thank you. pic.twitter.com/3r10R4DQ3M-- Adam Rippon (@Adaripp) January 18, 2018
This is the most disgusting, lazy, and barf inducing thing I've ever seen and yes I've done this before https://t.co/UDqVR5aYAf-- Adam Rippon (@Adaripp) January 15, 2018
Heading into the competition tomorrow, I just want everyone to know that my mom thinks I'm the best and I really hope the judges take that into consideration.-- Adam Rippon (@Adaripp) November 9, 2017

Today my trainer asked how I was feeling and I said "not bad, but not good." Ironically, it's the same review I gave all my ex-boyfriends.-- Adam Rippon (@Adaripp) June 15, 2017
